Sonoff S31 WiFi Smart Plug with Energy Monitoring

This is the best Wifi Smart Plug I have ever used for controlling power and monitoring power usage when flashed with Tasmota and integrated into Home Assistant.  Flashing with Tasmota avoids using the required Sonoff App which requires you to provide personal information and relies on the cloud.  With Tasmota, you maintain local control within your home LAN.

I DON’T RECOMMEND USING THE STOCK SONOFF FIRMWARE.

I describe how to flash these in my Washing Machine Video using an FTDI adapter but I will flash it for you if that seems like too much of a hassle.   Also, be aware that there is an S31 Lite version that has on/off functionality but does not have energy monitoring.
